Define Embarrassing
…Forgetting the order of service during the church service you’re conducting, so you ask for the offering AFTER you do a sermon in which you talk about all of your financial troubles. I had to make sure to say that the money was going to the church!
As embarrassing as that was, it was a good service. Good response to the sermon. It wasn’t only just about my financial troubles, but about how faith can change in times of crisis. I’ll post it later on FUUSE. Plus someone who I haven’t seen in forever was there too. Great to see her again. She even said she hadn’t been to a UU church in a while, so that was pretty cool too. Also this was the first time I performed publicly with a guitar in… I’m not even sure how long. It might even have been the first time in front of a live audience (that’s how long it’s been). Plus I haven’t even touched a guitar in at least a year or more. Went well, just needed a little time to practice (performed Slip Sliding Away by Paul Simon– which fits the sermon well).
