During the morning while I was unconscious, I got a call from my producer friend Evelyn, who was to be my producer/partner for my application into the Latino Producer’s Academy. When I called her back she told me the bad news: we were not accepted into the Producer’s Academy.
Yeah it sucks as I really did want to get into the ten-day experience and film some scenes from my script to use as a trailer for fundraising purposes. However I’m not going to be completely broken hearted about it. I still have two big applications to worry about—the Sundance Writer’s Lab and the Disney Fellowship. One of those I would really love to get as it would really provide a step up in my career. Keep your fingers crossed and send good vibes my way on those other endeavors. Plus with the time I now have I have to finish revising two other scripts and try to create another two web series ideas that I have.
No worries, no huge setbacks, just obstacles to navigate.
